Open-source audio software exploring creative DSP techniques, from experimental synthesis algorithms to practical audio tools.
I'm Nicholas Solem, a PhD candidate in Computer Music at UCSD and audio software developer. I build open-source audio plugins and tools under the moniker nvssynthesis, focusing on multidimensional timbral analysis/synthesis and experimental DSP techniques.
My development work spans real-time audio processing, plugin development (VST/AU), and creative sound design tools. As an audio software engineer, I care about writing clean, performant code and building virtual devices that are inspiring, intuitive, and reliable.
